It is a masterpiece of architectural style in conception, treatment and execution and has unique aesthetic qualities in balance, symmetry and harmonious blending of various elements. Taj Mahal was built from 1631 to 1648 by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife.

On the way from Jaipur to Agra- Harshshat Mata Temple
On the way from Jaipur to Agra, about 95 km away from Jaipur, we stopped to visit this temple that was dedicated to a goddess called Harhashat Mata. The temple is now serves as a tourist attraction in Rajasthan. This temple was built in 8th century by King Chand. The temple is very old and almost half of it is ruined.

Jaipur, India - Janatar Mantar Observatory
This astronomical observation site was built in the early 18th century. It includes a set of some 20 main fixed instruments. This is the most significant, most comprehensive, and the best-preserved India's historic observatories. The observatory was a meeting point for different scholars linked to cosmology. It was also a symbol of royal authority, through its urban dimensions, its control of time, and its rational and astrological forecasting capacities.
