Kenilworth Park and Aquatic Gardens

Kenilworth Park and Aquatic Gardens is a unique and beautiful natural oasis located in Washington, D.C.  The park is managed by the National Park Service and is a designated national park.

The park's main attraction is its stunning aquatic gardens, which feature an array of water lilies and lotus flowers. These gardens were originally established in the late 19th century by Civil War veteran Walter B. Shaw. He created the gardens to cultivate exotic aquatic plants and sell them commercially.

Today, I am delighted to share with you the stunning collection of photos captured at the Kenilworth Park and Aquatic Gardens

Spring in Holland- 11 Keukenhof Gardens

A couple of years ago, I watched a documentary on the top 10 most beautiful gardens in the world, and I was instantly captivated by their beauty. It has been a dream of mine to see Keukenhof Gardens in person, and now I have finally fulfilled that dream.

Keukenhof Gardens is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Holland. The garden is famous for its breathtaking display of colorful flowers, particularly tulips. With an area of approximately 79 acres, it showcases an impressive variety of spring blooms, including tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, and other bulb flowers. It is a celebration of the Dutch horticultural industry and the country's love for flowers. The gardens are meticulously designed flowerbeds, enchanting pathways, and themed gardens that offer a unique and immersive experience for visitors providing photo opportunities.

Note that Keukenhof Gardens is typically open from late March to early May, during the peak blooming period of the flowers. It is advisable to book your entrance tickets in advance. I visited on April 7th, and as you can see from the photos, it was still too early for the tulips. It was probably around 7 days too early. I made the decision to visit based on a review from someone who visited the previous year. Well predicting the weather accurately is a challenge, but still I enjoyed this place very much!
