Trip to Texas-(14) (continued) hike at Texas enchanted rock state park

As we began our descent from the summit but before reaching our starting point, we ventured onto the Echo Canyon Trail. This trail led us through a picturesque valley adorned with vibrant wildflowers and shrubs. Upon reaching the valley floor, we proceeded along the Moss Lake Trail, which then circled back to our original parking spot.

During our hike, we encountered intriguing rock formations and stumbled upon a stunning lake with the rocks serving as a captivating backdrop. I hope that upon viewing these photos, you too will be captivated by the enchanting beauty of this park!

Trip to Texas-(14) hike at Texas Enchanted Rock state park

Today, we explored Texas's Enchanted Rock State Park. The primary attraction is the Summit Trail. This trail predominantly traverses the rock surface, with the exception of the initial 200 yards. At times, the trail takes you at a steep 45-degree angle, either ascending or descending. The approach involves a zigzag pattern, reminiscent of navigating a ski slope. Along the way, we were treated to sweeping panoramic vistas of the valley below. Upon reaching the summit, we were rewarded with a breathtaking 360-degree perspective of the surrounding landscape, creating a sensation akin to being on the lunar surface!

Trip to Texas-(13) Fredericksburg

We reached Fredericksburg in the evening and wasted no time immersing ourselves in the town's charm. It appeared that the entire town had been beautifully adorned for Christmas. We strolled around, taking in the festive atmosphere, and as the daylight waned, it was time for a well-deserved break. We discovered a remarkable spot that, if I didn't mention we were in Texas, could easily be mistaken for New York City. The ambiance was delightful, and the life-sized horse sculptures added to the allure!
