Georgetown Waterfront is a picturesque area located along the Potomac River in Washington, D.C. It is part of the historic Georgetown neighborhood, known for its cobblestone streets, historic architecture, and vibrant atmosphere. The Georgetown Waterfront has undergone significant development and transformation over the years, becoming a popular destination for locals and tourists alike.
The waterfront offers stunning views of the Potomac River and the Virginia skyline on the opposite bank. This makes it a popular spot for sightseeing, taking leisurely walks, and enjoying the natural beauty of the area. Georgetown Waterfront is part of Washington, DC situated along the Potomac River. A place for view of both DC and Virginia, a place for entertainment, dinning and shopping. It's a great place for outdoor dining. In 2011, this site extended to include a new national park: The Georgetown Waterfront Park.
Georgetown Waterfront offers spectacular views of the
Potomac River. Visitors can see the Kennedy Center, Washington Monument,
Roosevelt Island, and the Key Bridge, while dining at a Georgetown waterfront
restaurant. This historic Georgetown location features luxury condominiums,
office space, a public boardwalk and waterfront restaurants that offer seasonal
outdoor dining and Sunday brunch. Washington Harbour was flooded in April 2011
causing extensive damage to many of the businesses. The restaurants have been
renovated and reopened in 2012.
