Iceland (5) The amazing green side of the land

My first impression of Iceland of course was its grey color. You could imagine how surprised when I saw it was also so greenly beautiful. All the photos were taken on the bus while on the Golden Circle tour. Most of them representing the farming of this land where you see some goats and horses just going by their business on there own. The animals have very good life!

Iceland (4) Thingvilier National Park

Thinvellir(Pingvellir) National Park is where the Icelandic parliament Alpingi was found in the year 930 AD. Pingvellir is situated on the northern shore of Pingvallavatn, the largest lake of Iceland. It is geologically remarkable and the tectonic plate boundaries create breathtaking senery. To me, it was the imagines from the composition of rocks, green soil, the blooming wildflowers in the valley and near the water, the white little church and houses made this place so uniquely beautiful. (Thingvellir National Park is the second stop of the Golden Circle Classic tour.
