American Rocky Mountains -Crystal Lake

The hike to Crystal Lake was moderate to difficult. It is about 6 miles from Maroon Bells in the White River National Forest. At the beginning of the trail, it was so narrow and wooded; you wondered when this was going to end? After about 3 and half miles, then you finally came to open potion of the trail, where you can see mountains and wild flowers in the open field. All of the sudden you tell yourself all this hard work is worth it. Then when you finally saw the lake, you know you had to do it.

American Rocky Mountains- Maroon Bells, Even Heaven is just as beautiful as this

I was told they are most photographed mountains in North America. I was glad I went and saw them myself. I hope they inspire you visit. Even though all the photos were taken within couple of hours. They all already show different colors. Maroon Bells are located in the Maroon Bells-Snowmass Wilderness, (near Aspen) in the White River National Forest managed by United States Department of Agriculture. There were many wild flowers around the lake which added more colors to the photos. Enjoy!

Letchworth State Park, renowned as the "Grand Canyon of the East," is one of the most scenically magnificent areas in the eastern U.S. The Genesee River roars through the gorge over three major waterfalls between cliffs--as high as 600 feet in some places--surrounded by lush forests. It was voted #1 state park by US Today in New York state.
