South America - Cemetery of Punta Arenas, Chile

I’ve never seen cemetery like this one. It is the city built as miniatures for people to live. Not for when they were alive but for when they were dead. The cemetery has been ranked by CNN as one of the most beautiful cemeteries in the world. It was designated a National Monument of Chile in 2012. This cemetery housed some relevant figures in the history of Punta Arenas. Each one of them has its unique designed architectures, some with their own gardens.

Punta Arenas is a city near the tip of Chile's southernmost Patagonia region. Located on the Strait of Magellan, which connects the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, it's often used as base for excursions to the surrounding wilderness and Antarctica.

South America - Magellan penguins

Up close with Magellan Penguins (continuation from my last post): the grow up penguins has strips. The chicks have furs, some of them are loosing their furs. The parents were mostly seen with their children but some of the teenager penguins were shown as being alone.

South America- Madgalena Island Natural Penguin Reserve, Punta Arenas, Chile

After half hour on bus and 2 hours on the ferry from Punta Arenas, we arrived Madgalena island, the home for the Magellan penguins. This is my first time seeing penguins. It was a unique experience for me and exciting one too.
