Hirshhorn museum and sculpture garden

While walking around the National Mall in the spring, we wanted to stop by Hirshhorn museum, but we were only allowed to snap few photos from Yayoi Kusama infinity mirrors exhibit at the exiting room. There was a long line to enter the exhibit that day and difficult to get tickets. Now it was over I only have Few photos of the sculptures in the sculpture garden outside. Enjoy!

Bartholdi Park and Bartholdi Fountain

Located right next to US Botanical Garden and US capital, Bartholdi park is a beautiful little garden that was created in 1932 when the U.S. Botanic Garden was relocated, the park was renamed in 1985 after Frederic Auguste Bartholdi, the sculptor of the historic fountain located at its center. It was said that gas lamps made the fountain a popular destination in the 1880s as one of the first attractions in the nation's capital to be brightly illuminated at night.

Kenilworth Park and Aquatic Gardens

Couple of years ago, a colleague had told me about this garden and the lotus and water lily flowers. Only the past weekend, I finally paid a visit. I was told the peak bloom would be in July. I still got some decent pretty green with water photos. Enjoy!

Rolling Thunder motorcycle rally in Washington DC

Bikers from all across America took part in the Rolling Thunder motorcycle rally in Washington DC on Sunday. The rally observed annually on Memorial Day Weekend as a tribute to US military veterans, prisoners of war and American servicemen and women missing or killed in action.Photos and radio were taken on 3rd st. N.W. and Independence Ave. on a raining day.
