Upper State New York-(1) Ithaca-Buttermilk Falls State Park

This is my second time visiting Ithaca. The city is famous for its university and many state parks with waterfalls.  It is also just next to finger lakes. During the pandemic, the town was very quiet but still people came out and enjoy the parks.  Here are some photos taken from Buttermilk Falls state park.

I lost another pair of sunglasses while taking photos. The sunglasses dropped into the waterfall and stuck to some tree branches right in front of me, but I could not dare to crab it! Oh well...

Balboa Park (1) Architecture

Balboa Park is a cultural oasis that includes 17 museums, gardens galore and the San Diego Zoo.  At 1,200 acres, Balboa Park is one of North America’s most iconic urban parks and a must see on any visit to San Diego. Located just blocks from downtown San Diego hotels, the park has a rich history reflected through its stunning architecture, thought-provoking exhibits installations, and cultural events throughout the year.

USS Midway Museum

USS Midway was the second aircraft carrier I saw.  The first one was USS Yorktown located at Patriots Point in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.

The USS Midway Museum is a historical naval aircraft carrier museum located in downtown San Diego, California at Navy Pier.  The museum consists of the aircraft carrier Midway.  the ship houses extensive collection of aircrafts.

San Diego

I have an equal affection for San Diego, Chicago, and San Francisco when it comes to the offerings of a city. San Diego has a unique advantage of enjoying year-round pleasant weather, setting it apart from the climate in Chicago and San Francisco. Furthermore, I have a great appreciation for the exceptionally fresh and delicious cuisine in San Diego. During my stay, I was situated in a hotel right in the heart of Little Italy, affording me the opportunity to savor an abundance of authentic Italian dishes. Some of the local establishments even craft delightful martinis. What's truly remarkable is the welcoming and sociable atmosphere – dining solo is no issue, as you're bound to strike up engaging conversations with the friendly locals. San Diego exudes a warm and convivial ambiance reminiscent of Italy itself. Among the many places I explored in San Diego, I found the USS Midway Museum and Balboa Park to be particularly captivating and enjoyable.
