After visiting the main square of Lima, we continued to walk around central Lima, admiring the old Spanish architecture throughout the area. We paid special attention to the windows and balconies on each building. Along the way, we passed many restaurants and watched chickens being roasted right in front of us. We also saw the old parts of Lima where all the colorful houses are stacked on top of each other in the distance.
One of the places we visited was "La Parque de la Muralla" park, where a part of the ancient city wall still remains. We also visited an old train station, "Casa de la Literatura Peruana," which has been transformed into a beautiful little library. We saw a bank that still kept its old-fashioned iron window and a modern, fashionable restaurant.
I took photos on two different days of my visit to capture the beauty and uniqueness of the area.
