You can buy the ticket after boarded the bus. The first portion of the ride overlapping with red line, but the last portion allowed us to see the beautiful costal line of Genova.

12 Genova, Italy- See the city from a hop-on-hop-off bus (red line)
Taking a hop-on-hop-off bus and riding the entire journey is a great way to see a city in a brief time. In Genova, there are two routes available: the red line and the blue line. These photos were taken while riding on the red line route, which goes through the city center.

Here are some photos taking from walking around old town, you'll notice the colorful tall, narrow houses that line the streets, many of which date back to the medieval period; restaurants and narrow streets. Genova is known for its delicious cuisine and pesto. We brought some home as gifts.
