A day in LA- Getty Center

Every time I visited LA, I visited Getty Center.  It is one of my favorite places to go and have fun.  The center is located on the hill site with great view of LA and its surroundings.  The white marbled buildings stand out under blue sky and looked so pure, peaceful and beautiful.
Then, there were gardens, sculptures, flowering tress that decorate the center,  so they give you a peaceful and beautiful place for you to walking around, to smile the fragrance from the garden and enjoy the colorful flowers.
When you are tired outside in the sun, you can take a break and visit the museums and enjoy the art collection and afterwards have a glass of wine or Cocktail in a 5 star restaurant with great view.

A day in LA_ Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook

A great place to visit if you are into hiking and excise.  You can choose to hike all the way from the bottom of the hill to the top on the dirt trial or climb the stairs from the bottom to the top. Either way, you will have a great work out but the view on the top of the hill will take your breath away.
We visited it was in May, you can still see mostly yellow flowers along the trail.  Photos were taken mostly on the top of the hill.

Washington DC Wharf District

Last year,  while visiting DC,  I remembered a friend had told me that  there is a new chic hang out place in Washington DC.  So,  we planned to go check it out, but we did not get in there because all the roads lead to it  seemed piled up with cars on that day.
This summer, we made it!  It was indeed a new place.  All the restaurants, boardwalks, the bridges, the sculptures… all new.  What was left from the old were couple of seafood markets at the very end of the walk.  It was only while there walking around, I learned (from the sign on the street) that place was called Wharf District.

Washington DC Navy Yard

DC Navy Yard is a fun place to go in the summer. You can stroll along the wide and long boardwalk; with view of the Anacostia river and sometimes you can even see some real bottle ships parked on the water.

On that summer day, we saw a couple getting married on the boardwalk! There was also a small yet very pleasant park provides you a place to rest, or watching the kayaker or sailboats running around in the river… Nearby, you can enjoy watching the kids were playing in a community pool …
Then,  there is Department of Labor near by. When you stroll through, you can see some very interesting sculptures.
