The Three Natural Bridges (天生三桥)-continued

The Three Natural Bridges (天生三桥)

The Three Natural Bridges (天生三桥) are a set of remarkable limestone formations located in Xiannüshan Town (仙女山镇), Wulong County, within the Chongqing Municipality, China. In a nod to Chinese folklore, these bridges have been named after dragons: 天龙桥 – Sky Dragon, 青龙桥 – Azure Dragon, and 黑龙桥 – Black Dragon.

Visitors can embark on a scenic journey into the vast valley, where these three bridges span the landscape. On the day of our visit, a gentle rain was falling, causing some hesitation about using my Canon DSR camera, which I had recently acquired, due to concerns about potential water damage. I opted to capture the moment with my iPhone initially. However, my cousin reassured me that the camera was designed to withstand the elements and encouraged me to use it. As it turned out, the rain added a touch of romance to the photos.

It's worth noting that this location served as one of the key settings in the Chinese movie "Curse of the Golden Flower," complete with a stone marker bearing the movie's name just outside the entrance.

Chongqing Wulong Karst

Wulong country is a hidden gem in South-central China’s Chongqing Municipality, featuring scenic landmarks comprised of limestone rock formations, which was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List as in important part of South China Karst in 2007.
Wulong Karst forms a range of massive stone archways, jagged bridges, deep mountain valleys, caves, eroded dolines, etc. It mainly consists of three parts: Lotus Cave (Furong Cave), Three Natural Bridges and Houping Tiankeng (Houping Giant Doline).

Other shades of fall colors at Shenandoah National Park

Each year, you longing to see some fabulous fall foliage at places you thought would be a perfect place.  However,  timing is very important.  In reality, you went there either too early or too late.
This year, I went to Shenandoah National Park looking forward to its fall glory but went little bit two earlier, perhaps two weeks too earlier for its peak foliage.   Most of the forest are still in green colors.  Then at some spots you see orange and little red colors.  Still, it was a sunny and temperature perfect day for driving and hiking.  It was not too crowded. So, enjoy these early shades of fall colors and mountains.
