At Patriots Point, Charleston, you can see the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge clearly in the back of cannons. You can also the USS Yorktown in the river, now a Naval & Maritime Museum. The USS YORKTOWN (CV-10) was the tenth aircraft carrier to serve in the United States Navy.

Audubon Swamp Garden Charlston

Angle Oak Tree, Charleston

Angel Oak tree was never on my list of attractions to see in Charleston. While shopping in a local artisan’s market, there was this amazing three paneled painting of this tree. The booth keeper told us this is an 800-1000 year old tree. When we found out it was 45 min drive from the market. We immediately decide to go to see it. Few minutes after we arrived, it rained heavily and the park was forced to been closed. Here are few shots I took in few munities of time.

Audubon Swamp Garden

-A secret garden for birds, turtles and crocodiles… That day without prior knowledge, I did not know such garden existed and it was part of Magnolia Plantations & Gardens. It was a beautiful sunny day, as we arrived, it was just time to watch the mother bird fetch sticks for the construction of the nest, father bird feeding the little ones. The trees in the middle of the pond were occupied by Blue Herons, Tri-Colored Heron, Great Egret and Snowy Egret. It was a heavenly place for these birds! I did not have telephotes lenses with me. Photos were not great of close-ups of those birds.
