Perched atop one of Cusco's hills, Limbus Restobar offers a fantastic spot to enjoy delicious food and drinks while taking in breathtaking views of the city and watching the sunset. This modern and chic venue is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the stunning scenery that Cusco has to offer.

Trip to Peru- (23) Streets in Cusco

Starting from our Airbnb, we strolled through narrow streets, passing by numerous historic buildings on our way to the city center. It was fascinating to learn that part of the city was built on top of an ancient Inca city, and we even saw buildings constructed on the ancient Incan big stone walls! The architecture of the buildings was also influenced by the Spanish, which was evident in the style of the windows. It was truly remarkable to see how different cultures had left their mark on the city's history and architecture.

Trip to Peru- (22) Sacred Valley tour-Salineras de Maras

Following our visit to Moray, we headed to the nearby Salineras de Maras, a stunning salt mine comprised of many mini squares, each one owned and managed by individual families. As depicted in the photos, each family takes ownership of their designated square. The salt mined here is used for both home and industrial purposes. The sight of the salt mine reminded me of the beautiful rice fields found in Southeast Asia. It was fascinating to witness how these families had been able to maintain and preserve this traditional industry for generations.

Trip to Peru- (21) Sacred Valley tour-Moray (Maras)

Moray is an Incan ruins site consisting of several terraced circular depressions constructed from a combination of stone and compacted earth material. These terraces were meticulously crafted to provide varying temperatures at different levels, creating distinct microclimates that were ideal for growing a wide variety of crops. It was truly fascinating to witness the ingenuity and advanced knowledge of the Incan people in developing such innovative agricultural practices.
