O Street Museum

Before visiting the O Street Museum, I learned that it is a unique and creative museum that showcases the diversity and beauty of the artistic process. It is located in Washington, D.C., in five interconnected townhouses that have over 100 rooms and 32 secret doors. The museum has an ever-changing collection of architecture, paintings, photographs, sculpture, books, artifacts, memorabilia, and music from all over the world.

After my visit, I think this place is a collection of art, hats, guitars, souvenirs from other countries, etc., collected by the owner of the mansion over many years. It is also a place with each room decorated with different themes. Each room was artistically decorated with expensive stuff. It was nice to see, but I don’t think I would like to live in such a place because the rooms are overcrowded, and I would not have freedom to move around without worrying about knocking things over. Thank God, it is only a place to have fun and not to live. During our visit, we had lots of fun exploring each room and looking for secret passages and we found 4 of them. Since many items displayed can be purchased for a price, this place is truly like an expensive antique shop overcrowded with too many stuffs!!

Chesapeake Bay Balloon Festival

The enchantment of witnessing hot air balloons taking off at sunset lured me to this festival. However, to my disappointment, only three balloons were inflated for a quick show before being promptly dismantled. We were told no fly this evening because of wind.  Nevertheless, we made the most of our time by relishing the delectable food, beer, wine, and the delightful music as we strolled around the festival grounds.  Below are some snapshots I captured during the event:

Kenilworth Park and Aquatic Gardens

Kenilworth Park and Aquatic Gardens is a unique and beautiful natural oasis located in Washington, D.C.  The park is managed by the National Park Service and is a designated national park.

The park's main attraction is its stunning aquatic gardens, which feature an array of water lilies and lotus flowers. These gardens were originally established in the late 19th century by Civil War veteran Walter B. Shaw. He created the gardens to cultivate exotic aquatic plants and sell them commercially.

Today, I am delighted to share with you the stunning collection of photos captured at the Kenilworth Park and Aquatic Gardens

The View of DC

The View of DC, situated in Rosslyn, Virginia, within the CEB Tower, offers a panoramic spectacle of the nation's capital. As the tallest building in the metropolitan area, it provides a vantage point like no other. I invite you to immerse yourself in the beauty of these photos taken from this extraordinary location.

From this viewpoint, you can marvel at the majestic landmarks of Washington, D.C., including the  Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial, the Jefferson Memorial, and the Capitol Dome, Kennedy Center and the picturesque Georgetown Waterfront.

Also from Northern Virginia, you can see the US Marine Corps War Memorial and the Netherlands Carillon. Both of these landmarks. Embrace the breathtaking sights and immerse yourself in the essence of these photos.
