New Zealand- 12) Wellington-The Executive Wing Of Parliament (The Beehive)

Wellington, the capital city of New Zealand and is known for its vibrant culture, picturesque landscapes, and unique geographical features.

The most famous Land mark in Wellington is the Executive Wing of Parliament (The Beehive)

The Beehive is one of the most recognizable buildings in Wellington due to its unique shape, resembling a traditional beehive. It was designed by British architect Sir Basil Spence in 1964, and the construction was completed in 1981.

The Beehive houses the executive offices of the New Zealand government, including the Prime Minister's office and various ministerial offices. It is an important center of political power in the country.

I did not know it is publicly accessible till I need to use bathroom and walked in it.  The security staff said yes, I can go in to use the bathroom and just need to check my bag!

New Zealand- 10) Napir

Napier is a city located in the Hawke's Bay region on the eastern coast of the North Island of New Zealand. It is known for its unique Art Deco architecture, which came about as a result of a massive earthquake that struck the area in 1931. The earthquake devastated the city, leading to its reconstruction in the Art Deco style that was popular at the time. Today, Napier is recognized as one of the best-preserved Art Deco cities in the world.

In addition to its architecture, Napier is also known for its beautiful coastal views and thriving wine industry. The region surrounding the city is a prominent wine-producing area, known for its production of various types of wines such as Chardonnay and Syrah.

Walk around downtown I captured some of the art deco styled buildings:

New Zealand- 9) Tauranga (continued- a moment!)

My friend David once told me that people are more interested in the bad things that happen during your travels than the good ones.

Here's what happened to me on the day I was in Tauranga that was little magical.

After hiking Mount Maunganui, Craig and I into town for a couple of cups of coffee and then took a walk to the beach.  While there, I asked Craig to take pictures of me walking along the beach, in and out of the water, then I realized my iPhone was missing. My first thought was great, the phone must have dropped into the water!  Well, there was not much we can with that!

We immediately retraced our steps, frantically searching.

Then I asked Craig to call my number on his phone. He called, but there was no answer.

We searched the entire path we'd walked.

As I was about to give up, already thinking about how I would have to tell my friends about the misfortune. Where I can get a new phone...While Craig had to meet his friend in town, so he walked away from me.

He walked ahead, and I continued searching, even though I had already resigned myself to the loss.

He was about 300 yards ahead of me, but I kept searching.

Suddenly, I heard a faint ring from my phone.

I couldn’t believe it! I walked toward the sound and found the spot where it was coming from.

I scrambled to clear the sand and found my phone!

I couldn’t believe what had just happened!

As the Chinese saying goes, everything happens for a reason.

I was lucky the phone ringed at the right time and moment!

What if Craig hadn’t been keep calling? What if I hadn’t been close enough to hear the phone ringing? If I hadn’t been in the right place at the right time, would I have been able to find my phone?
