New Zealand- 9) Tauranga (continued- a moment!)

My friend David once told me that people are more interested in the bad things that happen during your travels than the good ones.

Here's what happened to me on the day I was in Tauranga that was little magical.

After hiking Mount Maunganui, Craig and I into town for a couple of cups of coffee and then took a walk to the beach.  While there, I asked Craig to take pictures of me walking along the beach, in and out of the water, then I realized my iPhone was missing. My first thought was great, the phone must have dropped into the water!  Well, there was not much we can with that!

We immediately retraced our steps, frantically searching.

Then I asked Craig to call my number on his phone. He called, but there was no answer.

We searched the entire path we'd walked.

As I was about to give up, already thinking about how I would have to tell my friends about the misfortune. Where I can get a new phone...While Craig had to meet his friend in town, so he walked away from me.

He walked ahead, and I continued searching, even though I had already resigned myself to the loss.

He was about 300 yards ahead of me, but I kept searching.

Suddenly, I heard a faint ring from my phone.

I couldn’t believe it! I walked toward the sound and found the spot where it was coming from.

I scrambled to clear the sand and found my phone!

I couldn’t believe what had just happened!

As the Chinese saying goes, everything happens for a reason.

I was lucky the phone ringed at the right time and moment!

What if Craig hadn’t been keep calling? What if I hadn’t been close enough to hear the phone ringing? If I hadn’t been in the right place at the right time, would I have been able to find my phone?
