Devonport, a quaint town, proved to be easily navigable upon arrival at the pier. It took me a mere 10 minutes to reach the trailhead of Mount Victoria.
Mount Victoria, known by its Māori name Takarunga, is nestled on the North Shore of Auckland, just a brief ferry ride from downtown Auckland.
Accessible via walking tracks from Devonport village, the summit of Mount Victoria is a favored destination for both locals and visitors.
From the summit, breathtaking panoramic views unfold, encompassing Auckland's skyline, dominated by the iconic Sky Tower, and the shimmering waters of Waitematā Harbour, adorned with the scattered islands of the Hauraki Gulf.
