12 Genova, Italy- See the city from a hop-on-hop-off bus (red line)

Taking a hop-on-hop-off bus and riding the entire journey is a great way to see a city in a brief time. In Genova, there are two routes available: the red line and the blue line. These photos were taken while riding on the red line route, which goes through the city center.

Here are some photos taking from walking around old town, you'll notice the colorful tall, narrow houses that line the streets, many of which date back to the medieval period;  restaurants and narrow streets.  Genova is known for its delicious cuisine and pesto.  We brought some home as gifts.

10 Genova, Italy-from afar

Genova (also known as Genoa in English) is a city located in the northern region of Italy, on the coast of the Ligurian Sea. With a population of over 580,000 people, it is the sixth-largest city in the country. It is known for its rich maritime history and is one of the largest ports in Italy. It was an important center of commerce and trade during the Middle Ages and Renaissance, and was the birthplace of many famous explorers and sailors, including Christopher Columbus.

Genova is famous for its cuisine, particularly its seafood dishes. Some of the local specialties include pesto alla genovese, focaccia (a type of flatbread), and farinata (a chickpea pancake).

 Here are some photos of city from the ship in the morning when we arrived and from the ship again when we were leaving in the evening.

9-Marseille, France-parc longchamp

Longchamp Park (Parc Longchamp) is a large public park located in the heart of Marseille, France. The park covers an area of 18 hectares and was built in the 19th century. It is considered to be one of the most beautiful parks in Marseille.

The park was designed by the architect Henri-Jacques Espérandieu, designed the Palais Longchamp, a famous landmark of Marseille located within the park. The Palais Longchamp was built in the 1860s as a monument to the city's water supply, and it now houses the Museum of Fine Arts and the Natural History Museum. In addition to the Palais Longchamp, the park features beautiful gardens, fountains, and ponds. There are also several playgrounds, picnic areas, and walking paths throughout the park.

We paid a brief visit to this park and here are some photos taken there. Enjoy.

8- Marseille, France - Parc Emile Duclaux

Parc Emile Duclaux offers some stunning views of the city and the surrounding area. From the park, you can see the Old Port and you can also see the Basilique Notre-Dame de la Garde, which is one of the most famous landmarks in Marseille. 

From Parc Emile Duclaux, you can also see the coastline of Marseille, which features numerous beaches and cliffs. The view of the sea and the surrounding hills is particularly beautiful during sunset, when the colors of the sky and the water create a breathtaking vista.
