10 Genova, Italy-from afar

Genova (also known as Genoa in English) is a city located in the northern region of Italy, on the coast of the Ligurian Sea. With a population of over 580,000 people, it is the sixth-largest city in the country. It is known for its rich maritime history and is one of the largest ports in Italy. It was an important center of commerce and trade during the Middle Ages and Renaissance, and was the birthplace of many famous explorers and sailors, including Christopher Columbus.

Genova is famous for its cuisine, particularly its seafood dishes. Some of the local specialties include pesto alla genovese, focaccia (a type of flatbread), and farinata (a chickpea pancake).

Here are some photos of city from the ship in the morning when we arrived and from the ship again when we were leaving in the evening.
